Come experience government from the inside. Gain valuable experience, meet a diverse array of new people, and explore Washington, DC as an intern in our nation's capital. Interns will work with staff on a variety of constituent services, legislative, and professional development tasks in the immersive environment of my Washington, D.C. office.
Intern responsibilities will include but are not limited to: answering phones; sorting, distributing, and responding to constituent mail; leading tours of the U.S. Capitol Building; scheduling constituent tours of Washington-area attractions; attending hearings and briefings; and assisting with legislative research.
Successful candidates will demonstrate that they are organized, detail-oriented, and professional. Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential.
My office has full- and part-time internships available during the academic year and summers. Internships are unpaid, but arrangements may be made to earn academic credit.
