Chair DeFazio Announces $2.15 Million Grant to Increase Safety at Corvallis Municipal Airport
Washington, DC- Today, Chair of the House Committee on Transportation and Infrastructure Peter DeFazio (D-OR) announced the Corvallis Municipal Airport received a $2.15 million Airport Improvement Program (AIP) grant from the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). The grant is made possible by funding approved by Congress.
“This is great news for the city of Corvallis, and all who use this airport to travel to and from the Willamette Valley,” said DeFazio. “This grant will allow the airport to install perimeter fencing to ensure airport safety and efficiency. This is a perfect example of how Federal and local governments can work together on important investments that support local businesses and the general aviation community.”
